The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 discrepancies were the subject of a four-day hearing before the Supreme Court, which determined that a retest would not be warranted. The Supreme Court noted that holding a new exam would have far-reaching implications because it would impact over 24 lakh of the students who took the test. According to the CJI, it would mess with the admission schedule and have a domino effect on the medical process. The CJI also decided during the hearing that the court will accept the viewpoint expressed by IIT Delhi with reference to Physics Question No. 19. According to the IIT this morning, option 2 is wrong and option 4 is accurate. This implies that 4.22 lakh students could receive a four-marks drop.
